It would be cliche, yet stressful to quote the news over the last few months. The pandemic seems to be rolling in phases, and waves, of variants and vaccines. The economy looks rough, to say the least. Inflation has reached levels not seen by many in their lifetimes. Supply chain issues do not seem to have an end in sight. The war in Ukraine, and its impact, drags on. Deglobalization is clearly hitting several industries and segments. Yes, it is tiring to hear about these.
GadflyZone has weathered a few economic and business cycles since its birth in 2014. But none of them, arguably, come close to what we are seeing now. However, we are confident that our learnings from the past, along with our home-grown culture and values, will help us stay the course and tide over the choppy waters.
So, what do these learnings and culture point to? It gets back to Day 1. Back to basics. Back to doing what we are good at. Back to what the customers have come to expect from us. And then delivering them better, faster, smarter than ever before.
Instead of looking for the latest new and shiny thing, we are steadily and consistently focused on our domain, our approach. And making them better. Our customers are digging it. When we treat each customer as if they are the only one, the first one, and the dearest one, they bask in the attention, the value and the results. And we bask in their glory.
So, it's just the usual, add temendous value to our customers as a calm perpetual unit (CPU). And of course, have tons of fun while doing it!
To continue along this path, we have now added more firepower to our arsenal. In comes the latest gadfly, Susmitha, “Baby Tiger”, Kunapuli. Susmitha joins us from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, after finishing her master’s in Materials Engineering. She has worked in DMRL, Hyderabad (her favorite city) and in Vizag steel plant where she fell in love with materials, additive manufacturing and metallic foams. Susmitha also has a Bachelor of Technology degree, in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from, NIT Rourkela.
Kunapuli brings a unique skill set and knowledge base to complement the other Gadflyz, whose depths plumb other domains such as polymer science, building materials and personal care. Kunapuli literally means Baby Tiger in Telugu, Susmitha’s mother tongue, which she loves. In her free time, she writes award winning essays in Telugu. That is if she is not too busy watching some soothing K-drama, swaying to a Taylor Swift number, solving puzzles or playing chess. The picture shows where she was last spotted without her stripes next to some dwarves in a park. We can't wait to see how loud the “Baby Tiger'' will roar for GadflyZone!
