The Invisible Culture
February 9, 2023Celebrating a Decade of Innovation at GadflyZone
April 20, 2024I started my journey in industrial marketing with GadflyZone about 7 years ago. As soon as I joined the company, I realized that I was rewarded with the best gift that any aspiring Engineer could get that early in their career - mentorship from some of the greatest minds in the industry! (I tip my hat to Bala & Guna, the co-founders of GadflyZone!)
In my observation, and also from discussions with my peers from parallel worlds, to be at the receiving end of unbiased professional as well as personal learning at a workplace is super hard to come by, and at GadflyZone, I have been lucky enough to expand my horizons on both dimensions. And this has rendered my journey at GadflyZone soul & mind nourishing!
At GadflyZone, I have had the opportunity to work in several domains in the span of 7 years, be it lifesciences, pharma, speciality chemicals or personal care – and each project that I’ve led has presented me with a wonderful opportunity of building meaningful direct relationships with customers, which in turn helped me in getting a better feel of the domain straight from the industry leaders themselves.
To be able to absorb such learning experiences, over the course of time, I learned that one has to let go of their ego, which could come in the way of self-improvement and learning. And this is why I am an ardent fan of one of GadflyZone’s amazing core value “ZEGO”. While following this approach consistently over time, I was once hit by an epiphany during which I realized that I have had a complete personal transformation from being a highly reactive metal like Potassium to becoming a Helium, which is one of the most stable elements present in the periodic table! And this transformation has helped me in staying away from any kind of distractions – be it personal or professional; and has enabled a new bandwidth within me using which I am able to enjoy my work, delight customers, listen without prejudice, maximize learning and balance work life and family with utmost ease.
At GadflyZone, we are a close knit family of 10 (whom we call GSAT – GadflyZone Solution Analyst Team) and we love and respect each other without setting any limits. We do not follow a set hierarchy amongst us and we love to learn from each other at any given opportunity. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt thanks to each member of the GSAT team in our family. Despite working remotely at times, I never feel out of touch with any one of them and sincerely appreciate all the love and support that I receive from them every single day!
We are accustomed to a healthy habit of sharing what we’ve learned from our projects – be it best practices or even mistakes made and remedial measures taken.
We also provide regular unfiltered feedback to each other on areas of improvement and also tap each other’s backs with regards to areas of strength – this is the way we lift each other up and constantly raise the bar and this approach has helped me immensely with work performance and in building sustainable relationships in my personal life!
With my heart and soul filled with positivity, I would like to thank all our customers & my GadflyZone family for a great 2023. I look forward to returning back to work post the holidays with a refreshed mindset and to doing what I love the most – adding value to customers through actionable insights!
